A demonstration of extraordinary multi-tasking, focus, and composure under pressure.
Wenzel Grüß
Junior MCWC Munster, Germany 2011 — Wenzel could mentally multiply 3 3-digit numbers at the age of 9
Wenzel Grüß is a prodigy German calculator and the defending champion of Calculation League. Wenzel has demonstrated an extraordinary ability to solve a variety of non-traditional calculation tasks with an exceptional combination of speed, accuracy, and memory — sometimes even while heading a soccer ball!
Wenzel has two top-5 finishes at the Mental Calculation World Cup, including a third place finish in 2018 when he won most versatile calculation by a substantial margin. He also is a two-time champion of the Mind Sport Olympiad Mental Calculations event and excels at factoring numbers — even factoring seven-digit numbers.

A skilled performer with a knack for entertainment, Wenzel hopes to follow the path of the “Mathemagician” Arthur Benjamin and to not only help grow mental calculation into a respected mind sport, but to amuse and engage audiences through live, interactive demonstrations. Whether it is by adding a ball, dice —or even “telepathy”—Wenzel creatively formats his performances to make them relatable to spectators.
