Mental Calculation World Cup
The Mental Calculation World Cup is the premier international calculation event. First organized by Ralf Laue in 2004, the Mental Calculation World Cup takes place every other year in Germany. The most recent iteration saw 35 calculators from 16 countries participate in nine different tasks over two days. The top-5 finishers were GMCA board members Aaryan Shukla, Kaloyan Geshev and Samuel Engel, Japanese competitor Hiko Chiba, and Indian competitor Mishti Shah.

National Soroban Education Federation
Founded as the All Japan Soroban Education Federation in 1953, NSEF has soborban instructors based across fifty-two different chapters across Japan and holds the largest calculation competition in the world — the All Japan Soroban Championship. Junior Mental Calculation World Championship
JMCWC is an annual two-hour competition in Germany that involves a varied task format and has 3 age categories: (1) under 12; (2) 12-14; and (3) 15-19.

Mind Sport Olympiad
The Mind Sport Olympiad, operating since 1997, includes a mental calculation competition as part of its annual event. Currently, the MSO mental calculation event includes a varied task format and is conducted remotely. Announcements are made by Daniel Timms on his website.
